Free Virus Filtering/Scanning

       All email sent and received through our mail servers are checked for viruses and certain illegal attachment types.  This is done free for each and every single e-mail account.  Other local providers charge as much as $5.00 per mail box.  We give this to you free of charge.

All virus definitions are downloaded daily at 1a.m. in the morning automatically.  This way you can be assured the latest virus updates are always checked for in your email.  The virus-scanner used is written by Sophos, Inc.  We do not believe in charging you for this service because not only does it save you time and money by not having to have your computer repaired, it saves us time on technical support costs because your computer does not need to be reconfigured.  It is to both your advantage and ours to have virus-filtering.

Since we implemented the virus-scanner, our virus scanner caught over 500 viruses in a period of 15 days in May of 2002.  Our virus-scanner even blocked the famous ‘klez32’ virus, which was one of the worst viruses to hit the internet in the past 12 months.  This free service can save you hundreds of dollars in repairs and downtime if you do not have an anti-virus program on your computer. 

Web-based Email Access

  Data Center w/ Automatic Backup Generator

            Since November of 2000, the California Electricity Crisis has caused problems with businesses and residential customers due to large power outages and blackouts.  Realizing that this was a critical issue to our industry, 2INTERACTIVE LLC (Parent Company of ispcal.com) had a 40 Kilowatt Generator Installed at our facility.  This generator is a John Deere Diesel with a 60 gallon tank.  Running time is nearly 30 hours before it needs to be refilled.  

   An automatic transfer switch automatically transfers power over to the generator and starts the generator up within 30 seconds of power going out.  Battery backups automatically buffer the power until the generator kicks in.   Our generator is capable of supporting over 400 web servers running at the same time.

Incredible Uptime Figures

            Since January 2002 to June 15 2002, there has only been a total of 6 hours of downtime between modem and T1 problems.  This has allowed us to deliver a 99.8% uptime to our customers, which is remarkable.

            How can we offer a no busy signal guarantee?  Our partner in business O1 communications has reserve modem pools set aside for us when our usage is high.  This allows us to always keep phone lines available for you to connect to our network.  Our current modem/user ratio is 8/1.  We generally add additional lines every two months to accommodate growth.

All Operating System Platforms Supported

            Our dialup servers & email servers support All windows operating systems, as well as Macintosh over OS7.5.  If you are running Linux this is supported as long as you have a PPP adapter installed.

            We give you a free web page account with your service.  This allows you to create your own website for personal use or business use.

Lowest Prices Around

            How can we offer you prices like $9.95/month on our yearly plan?  We can do this because our costs are lower than other internet providers.  Since we have combined the resources of our parent company, ( 2INTERACTIVE LLC ) we are able to save lots of costs that other providers have.  A few examples are listed below.

            Our facility’s rent is already paid for by the parent company.  All T1 data lines are already paid for with dedicated server and web hosting customers of 2INTERACTIVE LLC.  Even the web servers that provide services to our dialup customers have already been paid for by the parent company. 

In addition to these cost savings, our billing system used is home-grown.  It was written two years ago by founder Brock Eastman.  Most Internet service providers pay royalties in the amounts of $2000 per 1000 customers to use a billing system.  We do not have this cost.  We pass the savings onto you.

            Since we can provide these services at such a low rate, and provide a high quality of service, we spend very little in advertising.  Our customers make our business through referrals and word of mouth.  With our customer base, we lose less than 1% of our customers monthly.  This shows that we keep over 95% of our customers over a yearly basis.  Most of our customers who cancel service either move out of the state or upgrade to higher speed services such as DSL with pacbell.
